iZip Unarchiver - RAR, 7Z, ZIP ... Decompressor App Reviews

Unfortunately this unarchiver doesn’t work with archives splited into several files - it just does nothing, progress hangs at 0. К сожалению не работает с архивами разбитыми на несколько файлов. Прогресс бар тупо замирает на нуле

They don’t say it works only if you pay...

It only works if you pay… uninstalled after 5 seconds!!!

Before this one I used to use the izip, but I always failed to get correct title of files titled with language out of English. Everytime I extract file titled with Chinese or Japanese charactors, there would be a long serie of “-“ to instead the real charactor. It’s horrible to find files — I cannot recognize them only by the number of “-“. But this App works extremely perfect! Nomatter what kind the files in—zip. or rar. or what language the files titled—I tried Chinese, Japanses, Korean and certainly English, the files are always with correct title. And what makes this App more nice is that only free version is enough for daily work! And also I would love to buy the pro version if I really need it.

Strange behavior !!! Free ??? after my 1st try and before the work was done I’ve been asked $2.99 !!! I know it’s the new apple trend allowing this kind of “practice” with this kind of sharks, BUT I don’t want to help that. I am willing to pay much much more if the deal is RIGHT, FAIR, I mean you Show the price for the deal BEFORE and I decide OK ?…but the way you are doing the deal has a meaning, a name,… Ripp-off, scam etc etc.

I have Paid for it, installed and it doesn’t work!, I have tried for more than 1 hour and nothing, waste of time. Garbage!

Well, I read the other reviews and thought I’d give iZip a go. It installed fast from the App Store, I opened it and dropped the rar file on it. It un archived it, but a message said to fully unarchive it 2.99 needed to be paid. I don’t understand this message. I think the entire file unzipped. Ahhh….. after further inspection, it only gave me 16 items from the rear file. FREE - I think not. It works, but 2.99 will need to be paid. DDON’T ADVERTISE AS FREE. IT MAKES YOU LOOK CHEAP, AND AMATEUR-ISH.

I just installed the free version of iZip Unarchiver and it worked great! I used it to unzip a 7Z file of about 1500 clip art images and it worked like a charm. I did get an ad, which was a little confusing, to purchase the upgraded version, but I ignored it and it still unzipped everything. We will see what happens when I use it again.

spammy looking interface, failed to extract an a specific archive where ‘the unarchiver’ didn’t have any issues, this got uninstalled promptly. You have to pay to get the ‘pro’ version of this deceptive app. Only left a a review because I was nagged to… so here you go, enjoy.

Mac dosen’t come stantard with an archive finder?

Just need to download a small file. It said “get” which in Istore is replacement word for free. Turns out viewing content info. is all that is free. This is misleading advertising. Seriously dude…. just lost me as a future customer for providing bait and switch techniques. Lost my trust. I recommend a class on customer trust.

The app worked barely OK. I was unable to get it to unzip more than two files at a time, no matter how I tried to load them.

I have tried to unarchive many types of files with this program with little success. Maybe I expect too much but they tout their product vehemently so I am disappointed with it.

This app worked perfectly for me. I had none of the problems I read that others had encountered including the $2.99 charge. Im very happy with the app.
